    Our logo proudly features Mr. Enchilada, a beloved symbol of the once-thriving sea otter population in southern Moss Landing Harbor, California. Named after the nearby popular restaurant, The Whole Enchilada, Mr. Enchilada was a familiar sight lounging on his back in the harbor, often accompanied by female otters. His relaxed demeanor endeared him to locals and tourists alike. Tragically, in 2016, Mr. Enchilada's life was cut short when he ventured onto the road to feed in the nearby slough, highlighting the challenges of coexistence between humans and wildlife in shared spaces. His story prompts reflection on how we can better harmonize human activities with the natural world.
